Mission Statement
The ArchOPs Committee is a network of operations professionals in the DC area architecture and design community where best practices and lessons learned can be shared to cultivate a positive, diverse, efficient, and forward-thinking work environment for architects, designers, and their operations and administrative staff.
Our first initiative is to rebrand from Operations Professionals Peer committee to ArchOPs committee and increase membership in Q1. Strategies will include:
Occasional blurbs as possible in the regular AIA/DC email blasts that go out to all AIA/DC members.
Continuing to reach out to participants in our past panel discussions (On-Boarding 101, joint panel with SFx).
Exploring ways to work with AIA/DC staff and other AIA committee members to reach and/or identify operations professionals working in our member firms that may not be architectural professionals who are already linked into the chapter’s communication strategies.
Our second initiative is to continue liaising with the Small Firm Exchange to find synergies between our committees, including joint events. We had a successful joint event in Q2 2024 and hope to continue our collaboration.
Our third initiative is to complete building our committee webpage with content on best practices and resources that are relevant to firm operations. The aim is to create a one-stop, easily accessible resource for operations professionals that will include:
Existing resources and best practices from AIA and other sources (sourced from among our membership) that are relevant to firm operations.
Full and easily identifiable access for firm operations professionals who may not be AIA members.
