WAF Mission:

The Washington Architectural Foundation is dedicated to educating and engaging the greater DC community, focusing on students, teachers, professionals, and the public to demonstrate the transformative power of architecture.

Education programs 2024:
- 531 students
- 146 volunteers
- 1,000+ members of the Washington community
- 4 scholarships supporting architecture students

CANstruction 2024:
- 33 design teams built structures out of 110, 457 pounds of canned goods in the Great Hall of the National Building Museum to donate to Capital Area Food Bank, the equivalent of 92, 047 meals for people facing food insecurity in our region.

Public Programs 2024:
- Architecture Month in October saw 725 people attending tours, lectures, and exhibition openings and teen workshops.

WAF programs are supported by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
