The AIA|DC Design Excellence Committee is dedicated to advancing, celebrating, and promoting design excellence both within the DC metropolitan area and beyond. We support our chapter members through the AIA DC design award programs, including the Chapter Design Awards, Unbuilt Awards, and Washingtonian Residential Design Awards. In addition, we champion the value of exceptional design through educational initiatives, tours, seminars, and panel discussions. We actively welcome new members and continually seek diverse perspectives and ideas that enrich and elevate the architectural community.
The Design Excellence Committee meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Meetings start at 6pm beginning in January 2025.
Lectures and events are organized around the awards programs as well as other architectural events going on in the community.
