SIGAL Gallery

This exhibition spotlights winning photos from the #iseeDC2015 Instagram photo contest organized by the AIA|DC Design Excellence Committee with support from FotoDC/FotoWeekDC. 

Of the 1,300-plus photos posted between October 15 and November 15, 110 were selected by a jury for the exhibition. Of those 110, 56 were printed for display. Each photo captures a place in our nation’s capital and exhibits special meaning to those who participated in the contest.

The Committee’s aim for the contest—and exhibition—is to connect the community with architecture and to “open our eyes” to architecture, design, and urbanism through heightened awareness of our environment and surroundings.
