Volunteer with AIA|DC to be a Chapter Representative to AIA National. This is a great way to represent the work of the DC Chapter, support the work and shape the future of the architecture profession, develop and grow leadership skills, and help advance AIA's mission. 

AIA encourages participation from members who bring varied perspectives—across career stages, firm sizes, geographic regions, cultural backgrounds, and practice areas. We believe that diverse voices help ensure that our programs, policies, and initiatives reflect the evolving needs of the profession and the communities we serve. 

Please review the role descriptions to ensure you can meet the required commitments:

National Associates Committee State/Territory Associate Representative (NAC STAR) (1 opening, Assoc. AIA)
Strategic Council Representative (1 opening, Assoc. AIA or AIA)

AIA Annual Meeting Delegate (Must attend 2027 AIA Conference) (multiple openings)

The AIA|DC Board will review applications and vote in early September, and applicants will be informed of the decision by September 9.
