The introduction of critical neighborhood-support retail acts as a catalyst not only for expanded opportunities in the surrounding area, but also as a means of enhancing amenities and the residential appeal of the neighborhood.

Applying this approach, the Menkiti Group Development Team has developed more than 200,000 square feet of residential and commercial property throughout the District of Columbia. We have delivered over 70 single family homes, more than 100 units of workforce condominiums and apartments, and over 110,000 square feet of neighborhood commercial space. The firm has become known for delivering high quality projects on time and on budget, currently has another 250,000 square feet of development projects in our pipeline.

Our commercial arm, Menkiti Group Commercial, was formed in 2014 to facilitate the Menkiti Group’s acquisition of over $100 million in portfolio-owned assets by 2018, with a focus on emerging commercial corridors in Washington, DC and Maryland, and a concentration in the retail, flex, industrial, and multifamily product types. The commercial team also offers comprehensive client services including commercial brokerage, tenant and landlord representation, investment sales, property and asset management, and commercial real estate advisory services.
